Location: the hotel was so close to local transport to the city as well as the shopping centre. Being close to Spatchcock was nice, we had dinner there.

The location was amazing, with easy access to UNSW, hospital, light rail, and a pleasant walk to Coogee Beach. The clean and spacious room had a super comfy bed, perfect for a good night's sleep. The bathroom was spotless with great water pressure in the shower. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing useful tips and allowing for early check-in and luggage storage. The guest kitchen and laundry facilities were a bonus, and the keyless locks added convenience. a fantastic stay in a character-filled property.

I had an excellent room, could sleep 4 people and very quiet and comfortable. A fabulous new shower and toilet. Great facilities. I stayed there because of closeness to Prince of Wales Hospital as I was going in for an operation the following morning, so I was far less stressed by staying at this lodge for the night. Good value.

The Avoca Lodge Sydney was a great find! the location was superb, with plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants just a short walk away. The convenience of having a kitchen on site was also a huge plus, making it easy to prepare meals. Additionally, the value for money was excellent, especially considering the comfortable and quiet rooms with private bathrooms. the hotel offered basic amenities like a desk for studying and a laundry facility, which added to the convenience of the stay.
No major issues, everything was fine.

Check in and Cjeck out was extremely simple. We did not see a single person during our stay. This, however may have been a problem if we needed assistance from a staff member.
The hotel room was dirty and dusty.

Leaving.
I arrived to a deserted office at 8am after a 40 hour trip from the us, and called the hotel number. Someone named Julie answered, from a different hotel, and said there wouldn't be anyone there until 10am. I asked if I could stow my bags before checking in. She said no, it wasn't her responsibility. Nobody turned up until after 11am; well, one of the staff members (I later found out) walked by, but he denied working there. wtf! Another employee refused to let me look for a medical item I'd left behind in the fridge after checking out. Absolutely incomprehensibly bad service. The rooms were ugly and dirty. Long hairs in the bathroom, rust on the faucets, *and* to top it off, there was blood on the sheets of one of the twin beds in my room.

This hotel offers good value for money with spacious rooms and large bathrooms. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay. The location is convenient, close to shops, bars, and restaurants.
The hotel could improve the narrow beds and the need for some touch-up painting.

Clean Rooms
Poor hotel, just arrived from the UK and called hotel re a shuttle was told that they did not offer a shuttle serivce, rooms although clean were very cold and drafty. After leaving the hotel I noticed $10 has been deducted from my account in addition to my room fee, called to ask why was told it was for internet use despite the website saying it was free.very annoyed this has been taken without consent. +

The team at Avoca Randwick were super friendly and helpful. It was great to have a kitchen where we could make our own meals. The location was perfect, just outside the busy city but close enough to easily get to all the attractions. Coogee beach and places to eat were just a short bus ride or walk away. The hotel was also within walking distance of the hospital.
Felt right at home, no reason to complain.
